Dollie, a cute kitty, had a typical start to her life. However, things took a turn for the worse when he fell ill with an unexplained illness at the tender age of just four months. The exact cause of his condition remains unknown.
According to Sara-Rose Brenner of the MSPCA, Dollie suddenly fell seriously ill. At first, her symptoms were unclear, but she began to behave abnormally for a kitten. Unfortunately, his condition worsened and his tail, ears, and feet began to die. This situation was unprecedented for MSPCA-Angell staff, according to Mike Keiley, head of adoption centers and programs.
Dollie, a cute kitten, was turned over to the MSPCA due to her increasing health problems. Fortunately, Dollie’s journey didn’t end there. The MSPCA contacted Dr. Meagan Painter, a specialist in dermatology, to identify her unusual condition. After examining Dollie, Dr. Painter diagnosed her with an ischemic skin disease that can cause tissue death in sensitive areas. Although the diagnosis was unfortunate, it meant that Dollie’s life could be saved.
The MSPCA-Angell team recently helped a furry patient named Dollie who was suffering from an unknown reaction. Thanks to his quick diagnosis and treatment, they were able to save two of his legs, but unfortunately they had to amputate his tail and one leg. Despite this setback, they are optimistic that Dollie will live a happy and healthy life. The only thing left for Dollie now is to find a loving family that will accept her, scars and all.
The MSPCA recently reported that Dollie had completed her two-month treatment and was now ready to be adopted by a loving family. Keiley, a representative for the MSPCA, expressed her belief that Dollie would not particularly need ongoing medical attention because of her condition, but would instead thrive in a home with a family ready to provide her with the care she deserves. As of January 24, 2023, Dollie has already found a forever family, which is great news for this deserving cat.
