LeBron James has never shied away from endorsing the music he likes listening to. The Lakers superstar frequently tries to uplift established and upcoming artists on social media. In February, LeBron promoted the work of his long-time friend DJ Meel through his ‘Testimonial Tuesday’ initiative. Just two months after his promotion, Savannah James joined her husband in endorsing DJ Meel’s talent and teasing a party with him.
DJ Meel posted the latest Testimonial Tuesday featuring Savannah James on Instagram. In the video, Savannah can be seen hyping up Meel’s work. She claimed DJ Meel’s party was one of the best parties of her life. Savannah revealed the 3 words that come to her mind when thinking about it, “Dancing, sweating, and knees.” She even shared DJ Meel’s post on an Instagram story, and wrote, “Where we at DJ Meel?!?!”. Her appreciation post comes just days after a controversial resurfaced video of LeBron James went viral.
In an old Instagram live video, LeBron admitted to attending rapper P Diddy’s parties. He could be heard saying, “Everybody knows, ain’t no party like a Diddy party.” The video became a topic of national interest after Diddy was accused of sex trafficking, sexual abuse, and the distribution of illegal drugs. Many wondered if LeBron was aware of what Diddy was allegedly involved in. But the Diddy controversy did not stop the James Family from promoting DJ Meel’s work.
Meel is a Cleveland native and has been LeBron’s friend for nearly two decades. During the Testimonial Tuesday featuring LeBron, the 4-time Champion revealed DJ Meel has played at many of LeBron and Savannah’s birthday and anniversary parties. He called Meel “one of a kind.”
DJ Meel’s NBA Connections
LeBron and Savannah James are not the only NBA celebrities endorsing DJ Meel’s talent. Meel has deep connections in the NBA and garnered appreciation from multiple influential people in the league. LeBron’s Lakers teammate Anthony Davis also sang praises of DJ Meel during his Testimonial Tuesday episode. AD revealed in the video that he has known Meel for nearly 5 years, and the DJ even played at his star-studded wedding in 2021. Davis said, “You’re a genius at work.”
Even LeBron’s agent and long-time friend, Rich Paul, had great things to say about DJ Meel’s versatility and ability to take over parties. Paul said, “He’s a quiet guy, but his parties are loud.” King James’ former Cavs teammate Kevin Love has also featured in an episode of Testimonial Tuesday to endorse the Cleveland artist. DJ Meel can frequently be spotted playing at the parties of NBA superstars and legends. Last year, Meel played at a private birthday party for Warriors’ superstar Draymond Green. He even played at Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade’s Hall of Fame celebration party. DJ Meel’s NBA ties and extraordinary talent have helped him become one of the most sought-after DJs for special occasions. And Savannah James’ post will help his work reach a bigger audience.
