New Inter Miami superstar Lionel Messi has been spotted house-hunting in the Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton areas, following his impressive game-winning free kick against Cruz Azul in the MLS Leagues Cup. Messi was seen exploring a spacious property along the Intracoastal Waterway in Boca Raton, accompanied by his wife, Antonella Roccuzzo, and their three sons, Thiago, Mateo, and Ciro.
While it remains unclear if Messi has made an offer on the property, he certainly has the financial capability to purchase it, given his lucrative three-year contract with Inter Miami worth $162 million. According to Capology, Messi will earn $54 million per year, translating to an impressive weekly salary of approximately $1,038,462.
Boca Raton, often referred to as the “Venice of America,” is a popular destination for many sports and entertainment personalities. The area has been home to athletes like Coco Gauff, Randy Moss, Naomi Osaka, and Jozy Altidore, as well as celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Kevin James, and Carrot Top.
Messi already owns several luxurious properties in Miami, including a 4,400-square-foot apartment in the Porsche Design Tower and the entire ninth floor of the Regalia Tower on Collins Avenue. He also has two luxury units in the Trump Royale Tower, each costing around $1,031,798. In 2017, he purchased an apartment in the Porsche Tower for $9 million, followed by a larger property nearby for $7.7 million.
Last week, Messi’s introduction to Inter Miami was celebrated with a grand event titled “Bienvenido Messi,” produced by Apple TV. However, the reveal was delayed by over two hours due to a storm in the area, which caused production issues, including poor audio quality.
