Home Nature Visit Japan to gaze in awe at the magnificent 144-year-old wisteria tree.

The giant and perennial wisteria tree in Japan  has captivated thousands of tourists from near and far who flock to Flower Park in Japan just to see it.

Located on the grounds of Ashikaga Flower Park, the shimmering wisteria tree here is the largest and oldest wisteria tree in Japan. Although not the largest in the world, the wisteria tree in Ashikaga Park has taken up a huge area of 1990 square meters and was planted in 1870 (that is, it is now 144 years old). Due to the huge number of flower wires, the tree became quite heavy and the park management had to make a scaffold above it to avoid the unfortunate fall.

The wisteria flower in Japanese conception is considered a symbol of eternal and undying love because although the flower looks soft and flexible, its roots are very strong and firm, meaning that love must be loved. Persevere and overcome difficulties and challenges. If possible, go to Ashikaga Park and see this beautiful fairy-like wisteria tree with your lover, guaranteed to be extremely romantic.
