It is estimated that there are 150,000 cats and dogs roaming the streets of Istanbul, Turkey; this is a significant amount, and it is believed that the administration is unsure how to address the matter.
Vera, a kind woman with a lovely heart, is doing everything she can to help the animals in this city who are suffering.
Unfortunately, homeless animals in that nation don’t usually get the full attention of the government, but she is a hero in her town and changes the lives of many of them.
Vera lives in Kartal, on the southeastern outskirts of the city, and is responsible for around 350 stray cats.
Despite the limits they face in terms of resources, they perform admirably and deserve to be recognized.
Vera has assembled a group of volunteers to join the Atalar Sahili Cat Neutering Group, which is committed to helping cats.
These little creatures often fall into despair due to the hunger and cold they suffer when they find themselves on the street without a roof or a house that gives them shelter and security, and also provides them with medical help and food.
Vera works much harder to feed them during the cold. Since food is limited in winter, she gives him his daily ration, which can weigh up to 22 kg.
The charity collects sick cats and transports them to a vet, who diagnoses them and prescribes therapy to help them recover.
They also help sterilize cats; last year they managed to sterilize 167 cats; this year the task will be carried out with greater zeal and effort in the hope of reaching a wider audience.
We have no words to adequately explain and celebrate the achievements of this remarkable woman, which are rare today.
While many people stay home and make excuses like bad weather, shortages, or lack of time, she gets involved in the bottom line. He understands that every life matters, no matter how great the cost.
