Luis Castro’s team moves up to sixth place thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo’s 850th career goal and two assists
On Saturday, in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 850th career goal as Al Nassr defeated Al-Hazm 5-1.
The three-game winning streak for Al-Nassr in the league was aided by Ronaldo’s six goals and two assists. Also contributing to the scoring was Sadio Mane.
“Another outstanding effort by the team! Every day, we get better. It’s time to depart, @AlNassrFC. I have 850 professional aspirations and counting. Ronaldo, at 38 years old, made a social media message.
Even though they started the season with two losses, last year’s runner-up Al-Nassr is only four points behind league leaders Al-Hilal after scoring 14 goals in their previous three games.
With six goals so far this season, Ronaldo leads the league by one over former Liverpool forward Mane.
After a poor beginning, Al-Nassr gained the lead in the 33rd minute thanks to Abdulrahman Ghareeb, and then doubled their lead in the eighth minute of stoppage time.
After Otavio’s goal, the lead was back to two goals, but Muhammed Badamosi scored for the home team just two minutes into the second half.
After the third goal, Al-Nassr’s superstars joined in on the fun, with Ronaldo scoring his first career hat trιck on the 68th minute and Mane adding another in the 78th.
