Some scientists think that the clouds on Venus may be hiding a shocking secret about aliens. According to them, NASA should actively explore the possibility of aliens living hidden in the clouds on Venus.
According to the British Express, a group of scientists strongly suspect that inside the clouds on Venus can exist microbial life that can adapt to the conditions here.
The surface of Venus is largely known to be extremely inhospitable with scorching temperatures and no water. The surface temperature of Venus can reach 462 degrees Celsius, far beyond the threshold for which life can exist. However, at a point above when the planet’s atmosphere is “twin” with Earth, about 50 km from the surface of Venus, the temperature is only between 30 – 70 degrees Celsius.
Although the thick clouds on the planet closest to Earth and most similar to Earth in the solar system are filled with sulfuric acid, some experts still believe in the possibility that life could exist here. Accordingly, they found that in the clouds often appear dark streaks that seem to be signs of living microorganisms.
The scientists hypothesized that the bacteria on Venus may be encased in a molecule called S8 that also resides in the clouds and has the ability to block the corrosive effects of sulfuric acid and resist absorption of ultraviolet radiation.
“It’s a possibility that we can’t ignore,” said Sanjay Limaye, an atmospheric scientist from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and past chair of NASA’s Venus Exploration Analysis Group (VEXAG). I can’t say for sure if there are microorganisms living in the clouds of Venus, but that doesn’t mean it’s not there. The only way to determine is to go to Venus and take samples. gas for testing”.
Accordingly, Limaye and his team are submitting a report to Roscosmos – Russia’s space agency – and also to NASA about a mission called Venera-D to send a spacecraft to fly through the clouds of Venus to Check for signs of life.
