David Rush, a man from Boise, Idaho, USA is passionate about challenging himself to achieve different Guinness world records in many fields.
Set a world record to inspire young people
As a teacher, David Rush wants to make records to inspire students, promote Stem education in schools. Stem is a subject that combines science, technology, engineering and math.
Growing up in Idaho, David Rush once shared that he was not smart enough to study, but thanks to a growth mindset and hard work, he achieved. He passed the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology to study electrical engineering.
After many years of teaching, David Rush wants to do something to encourage young people to always try and not give up despite difficulties or failures.
He shared that: “I thought a lot, questioning how to take this message to the next level. How can I convey my thoughts with a tangible example. And I found the solution. France”.
According to the plan, first David Rush wants to set Guinness world records, becoming tangible evidence for his students. At the age of 37, with a record of 250 world records, his wish soon came true. He is the most visible example of hard work, striving to achieve success. He became one of the best record breakers in the world.
David Rush performs a super level hold
According to the website of the Guinness World Organization, from breaking records while juggling, or blindfolded and juggling, David Rush completed a series of strange and unbelievable records. He shared that: “When I first trained to set a record, I often failed, even failed badly. Then I still failed, then gradually I got better a little bit. But that’s it. didn’t discourage me or give up.”
Because of the practice, David Rush’s knee hurt many times, twisted his ankle, and injured. “When I was juggling blindfolded and juggling, I injured my ankle, broke my ankle. Some times I set records involving knives and swords, I unfortunately cut my own hands,” said David Rush.
His family is a great source of encouragement for him. Mother is the one who worries the most when he is faced with risky challenges. His wife is the one who understands and supports him the most. His 4-year-old and 6-year-old sons sometimes help him practice. Two children will help dad hold the balloon, pick up the ball, press the time clock…
Difficult challenge
According to The Sun, one of the most difficult challenges in the journey to conquer the records is standing on the ball while cutting kiwi with a sword. In the end, in 1 minute, David Rush cut 74 balls.
To achieve this record, he stood on a ball, with a sword in hand, cutting kiwis that his friend standing a short distance away, threw at him.
In addition, the challenge of juggling while blindfolded and running 100 meters is equally difficult. He had to combine a lot of skills to achieve this record. “It was really hard, at first I almost couldn’t do it,” David Rush shared.
At the end of 2022, David Rush set the 250th Guinness World Record for blowing the farthest pea. He used his breath to blow a pea over 25 meters above the flat floor.
In July 2019, he set a record with soap bars. In a 1-minute time, David Rush placed 30 stacks of wet soaps on top of each other and remained empty for more than 5 seconds.
In August 2019, David Rush set a record while skating while juggling three balls and moving the longest distance of 1,200 meters.
