On Saturday, in the Saudi Pro League, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 850th career goal as Al Nassr defeated Al-Hazm 5-1.
Al Nassr won their third straight league game thanks in large part to Ronaldo’s six goals and two assists. Also contributing to the scoring was Sadio Mane.
“Another outstanding effort by the team! Every day, we get better. 850 career goals and counting for @AlNassrFC, go get ’em! Ronaldo, at 38 years old, made a social media message.
Despite dropping their first two league games this season, Al Nassr have won their past three and are now only four points behind league leaders Al-Hilal thanks to their 14 goals scored in those games.
With six goals this season, Ronaldo is one ahead of former Liverpool forward Mane for the league lead.
Lionel Messi, a long-time adversary of Ronaldo’s who plays for Inter Miami in the MLS, has scored 818 goals thus far in his career.
