An adorable puppy has become a ᴠɪʀᴀʟ sensation after a Twitter user shared a picture of the pooch in a car wearing a seatbelt.

Eight-week-old Labrador Kaia was sɴᴀᴘᴘᴇᴅ putting sᴀꜰᴇᴛʏ first as she sat belted up while being transported around Clovis, California on Wednesday. The golden pooch is shown in a passenger seat with her legs perched up below the seatbelt, while one of her paws lies casually on top. The fluffy pup is shown facing forward looking out the windscreen as her human travelling companion watches her and smiling. The caption ‘sᴀꜰᴇᴛʏ first’ is written across the snap. Alyssa Rendon, the sister of Kaia’s owner posted the picture on Twitter with the caption: ” My sister sɴᴀᴘᴘᴇᴅ me this but I feel like it deserves to be seen by so many more.” In less than a week the pic has racked up more than 1.3million likes and 400,000 retweets and even celebrity endorsements.

Socialite Paris Hilton joined in the adulation, private messaging Alyssa on Twitter saying: ‘So cute!’

Amber Turnip wrote: ‘Oh my god. That is a magical image.’

Antonia Kate said: ‘That’s adorable.’ And another fan, wrote: ‘Holy s***. This made my heart sᴡᴇʟʟ!.’  Alyssa  later tweeted another adorable snap of Kaia looking at a laptop screen showing the image on Twitter. She wrote: ” Kaia appreciating all the fan love.” Another photograph, captioned ‘Life is ruff being famous’, shows Kaia snoozing on the floor. The famous pooch has now also got her own Instagram page called Sᴀꜰᴇᴛʏ First Puppy  where her owner’s share snaps to her hundreds of followers.

The page reads: “So what’s up, I’m Kaia I’m an eight-week-old yellow lab and apparently I’m famous now so you should follow me and say what’s up sometime.” On Thursday, Alyssa tweeted her appreciation for the support for the attention. She wrote: ” ONE. MILLION. FAVORITES. Omg you guys this is ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ! So happy this is making the entire world smile.”
