Exploring the $72M Mansion of NBA Legend Chris Paul: A Family Retreat

Following unsuccessful championship campaigns with the New Orleans Hornets and Los Angeles Clippers, Paul joined forces with James Harden to form the Houston Rockets. However, despite the Rockets reaching the Western Conference Finals in consecutive seasons, Paul failed to secure a spot in the NBA Finals, much less a championship.

Paul and his wife spent approximately $6.9 million to acquire a 10,000-square-foot villa in 2018, during Paul’s tenure with the Rockets. Paul’s tenure in Houston came to an end, however, when the Rockets traded him to the Oklahoma City Thunder following the 2018-19 season. As a consequence, he listed the identical property for sale at an initial asking price of $8.3 million. The Paul family ultimately reached a sale agreement for $7.2 million. That is for the best, as Paul was subsequently transferred to the Phoenix Suns, who re-signed him for a season before trading him to the Washington Wizards in June 2023.

The former $7.2 million estate owned by CP3 features nine bathrooms and five bedrooms. The villa was conceptualized by Rottet Studio and includes a three-car carport with climate control, an expansive dining area, a swimming pool, and two exquisite walk-in closets.

Prior to this, CP3 had acquired a number of high-profile properties. He purchased a mansion measuring 12,000 square feet from the decorated singer Avril Lavigne for $8.5 million in 2012. Subsequently, he sold the property for $8.7 million. Additionally, Paul acquired a mansion in Calabasas for $9 million and a home in The Woodlands for $6.36 million. He subsequently sold these properties for $11.05 million and $5.85 million, respectively.

. Just recently, CP3 paid an astounding $11.1 million for a brand-new estate in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles. However, the impact of Paul’s transfer to Washington on his spouse Jada Crawley and their children remains unknown. It is unsurprising that CP3, one of the finest playmakers in NBA history, can afford to live an extravagant lifestyle. Avril is estimated to have a net worth of approximately $160 million. However, the available information regarding Chris Paul’s erstwhile mansion in Houston, valued at $7.2 million, is as follows.
