A high-resolution image of what looks like a flying saucer or unidentified flying object (UFO) has just been released, 50 years after this image was taken over Costa Rica.

Those who regularly read stories about aliens are not surprised that UFOs are often associated with blurry, unclear photos.
A newly published image is surprising because it is completely opposite. High-resolution images show a disc-shaped object, hovering over a lake in Costa Rica, according to UNILAD.
The original image was taken by the automatic camera of the National Geographic Institute of Costa Rica in 1971, on an airplane at an altitude of about 3,000 meters.
Black and white images are captured continuously every 20 seconds. In one photo, the mysterious UFO-shaped object appeared above Lake Cote at 8:25 a.m. local time.
UFO expert Ricardo Vílchez, Dr Richard Haines and Dr Jacques Vallée each concluded that the photograph showed no sign of tampering, or was the result of superimposed techniques (mixing two or more photographs into one). ).
On May 7, a high-resolution photo of an image taken 50 years ago was released by Esteban Carranza, a Costa Rican citizen. Carranza describes himself as “a UFO enthusiast”.
The photo was taken in 1971, recently the high-resolution image has been released.
According to UNILAD, Carranza obtained a negative copy of the original photograph from an uncle who passed away last year. During the 1970s and 1980s, this uncle obtained the photo from the National Geographic Institute of Costa Rica.
Carranza sent negatives to Michael Strickland Photography’s laboratory in Kansas (USA). Experts used a specialized scanner to produce a very high quality image of 1.7GB in size.
Carranza said he met with experts at the National Geographic Institute, including the cameraman in 1971, to coordinate the creation of the high-resolution image.
“This is a team effort so everyone has a right to see this photo,” Carranza said of the reason for the image’s release.
UFO researcher Leslie Kean once described a UFO photograph taken in Costa Rica in 1971 as “the best photograph ever taken of a UFO”.
“This image is authentic and completely inexplicable (the appearance of the flying saucer),” Kean said.
