If you follow me closely you know I am a pioneer in the exploration of the use of generative A.I. I’ve been testing what’s available for more than 3 years, way before the likes of MidJourney, Dall-E, etc
I am avoiding posting AI images too often. It’s already became boring and pointless, I often post new explorations when some big development happens, like a new version of MidJourney is launched.
But today I’m posting because there are some valuable use for the tech in my opinion, as a director in the advertising business, sometimes you just need to flush out some ideas, brainstorming with images, that is the most valuable use of the tech, not using it as a means to an end, but to a better start.
I’ve been thinking about using thick impasto as the visual language of a project, but I myself as an artist don’t master the technique to emulate it. I could use Zbrush, as I did in the past to do a similar result but it would still lacks the paint mixture gradients and interactions, I thought about using some tool like Houdini or TyFlow but same issues would limit it, or make the R&D very long and expensive… to test an idea. That’s when I think it is very useful to use AI. When you nail the idea and get to production you get to think what is the most effective way to accomplish it, sometimes even AI could be the answer like the use of Stable Diffusion on the paintings part of the latest Coca-Cola ad.
