Lionel Messi has made an appearance in a music video by Colombian rapper Maluma, who has paid tribute to the World Cup star in his new song.
Messi, 36, appears in his Inter Miami jersey at the team’s DRV PNK Stadium and hands the singer a trophy before hugging him.
Maluma revealed the song on his Instagram and said: ‘A tribute to the greatest LEO MESSI‘ with a goat symbol.
It appears the video was filmed on August 4. The music star shared an array of pictures from Miami’s stadium on his Instagram on that day.
He posed for a picture alongside Messi and shared other snaps of Messi signing a Miami jersey for him to keep. He also received a Miami jersey with ‘Maluma 10’ on the back – Messi’s shirt number.

Messi, meanwhile, has made a whirlwind start to life in the United States and won his first trophy with his new team at the weekend as Miami beat Nashville on penalties in the Leagues Cup final.
And on Wednesday night, he led his Miami team into the final of the US Open Cup, where they will play against Houston Dynamo on September 27.
That game Wednesday was a thriller, which saw Messi bag two assists on the night – both times helping Leonardo Campana score – to force extra time.
There, he converted a penalty which helped Miami reach its second cup final in just one month.
Messi’s start to life in the United States will continue on Saturday with the player’s first ever game in MLS competition on the road at the New York Red Bulls.
Maluma is a highly successful Latin Grammy winning artist – with 63million Instagram followers and a number of top hits in the Latin world.
Speaking last week, Messi said he was humbled at how welcome he and his family have been made in Miami.
‘From the beginning, from my arrival, it’s been an impressive welcome that we’ve received,’ he said at a press conference.

‘Today I can tell you that I am very happy with the decision we made. I simply came here to play and keep enjoying football,’
David Beckham, the Miami co-owner, said of Messi in July: ‘He’s at the stage of his career where he’s done everything that any soccer player can do in a sport as one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player to ever play the game.
‘So he’s still hungry. I’ve seen him on the training pitch. I know he’s still hungry.’
