Expert Fabrizio Romano recently traveled to Miami, USA, to interview Lionel Messi for “433”. The captain of the Argentine national team spoke freely about his upcoming goals.
When asked about the Italian transfer expert’s future, Messi admitted that he is not thinking about the role of coach and is only focusing on the present.
“I don’t think I want to be a coach, but I’m still not sure what I want to do in the future.
I value everything I do every day much more than before. So I just think about playing football, training and having fun.”
Recently, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are said to want to set a record of 6 World Cup appearances.
However, speaking to Romano, Messi once again stressed that he is still not sure about anything about the 2026 World Cup .
“The truth is I don’t know, even though I’ve been asked many times, especially in Argentina,” Messi said. He waited for his body’s and his emotions to react before deciding.
“I hope to finish the season well, then have a good pre-season. From there I want to see what happens, see how I feel.
A lot of things happen in football. There is still a long way to go so I don’t think too much about it. I live day by day without thinking too much about the future.”
Messi is recognized as one of the greatest players in the history of world football , with a huge legacy.
“Let people remember me the way they want. I am very grateful for my career and for achieving everything I have by the grace of God,” Leo replied to Romano’s legacy.
He is happy to have everything: “My biggest dream was to win the World Cup, a tournament that I fought for a long time and had to work very hard for. I am lucky to have won everything with Barcelona, with the Argentina team, to have a wonderful life and a wonderful family” .
Messi is aiming for his first Major League Soccer (MLS) title with Inter Miami.
“We are very happy and celebrating the achievement (Supporters’ Shield), because it was something difficult and important. We know that the real title we want is MLS.
During the year, we made a lot of basic mistakes that could have been avoided. That cannot happen in this knockout round because it can lead to elimination. I think Inter Miami is one of the candidates to win the championship.”
