The MSN trio unexpectedly reunited in the latest trailer for the legendary PES game (now rebranded as eFootball).
On the evening of November 21, football fans were very excited when Konami, a Japanese game manufacturer, released a trailer featuring the legendary “MSN” trio (Messi, Suarez, Neymar) at an event to promote the eFootball game series.
In the trailer, Messi makes a video call to play with Neymar. Suarez then appears and the Argentine superstar invites the three to play a game of eFootball. Throughout the trailer, the legendary trio juggle and recreate classic coordination moves in Barca’s jersey.
According to Konami, the MSN reunion is a “gift” from the game developer to celebrate the 125th anniversary of its partner Barcelona. If you have Messi, Suarez and Neymar in your squad, you’ll also unlock the signature celebration of the trio shoulder to shoulder.
The “MSN” trio were once considered one of the most fearsome attacking lines in football history, helping Barcelona win the grand treble in 2015. Messi believes MLS would be an ideal destination for Neymar, who is having a tough time in Saudi Arabia with Al Hilal.
Messi, Neymar and Suarez continue to maintain a group chat to keep in touch. The Argentine star admitted that Neymar’s arrival at Inter Miami would be “very difficult” because Neymar’s salary at Al Hilal is too high (almost 2 million euros/week).
PES and FIFA are the two biggest brands of football games, which have been competing for many years. Although it does not own the copyrights of the world’s major tournaments and teams, PES still wins the hearts of many players thanks to its realistic gameplay, high difficulty and closeness to reality.
In Vietnam, this game became popular around 2000 with the first release of PES on the PS2 system. The phrase “playing PES” became a term to refer to playing this game on PlayStation systems. On social media, PES gaming communities attract a large number of participants, with some groups reaching over 500,000 members.
