When the Fairbanks couple discovered they were expecting, they were overjoyed. With two children from a previous relationship, the family of five goal was to be realized.
Choosing a new family member is always both thrilling and nerve-wracking. With two children already, it is impossible to predict what life will be like with a third. Many individuals experience a sense of relief when an ultrasound confirms the presence of a healthy heartbeat. One cannot even conceive of everyday existence with three infants!
Ms. Fairbanks observed immediately that something was unusual about her last pregnancy. She does not characterize it as an uncomfortable or negative emotion, but rather as something else.
When she visited her physician at 10 weeks expectant, he advised an ultrasound for precautionary purposes. And shortly thereafter, the expecting mother could exult at the news that there were two beating hearts in her womb!
The couple accepted the fact that they would soon be raising not just three but four children. The days would undoubtedly be hectic. However, they were ultimately pleased with the news.
However, as the weeks passed and the mother’s tummy swelled, she realized that there was likely another surprise in store. As expected, the couple was expecting triplets.
The three youngest members of the family are triplets and were born in August 2019. The birth went well, and the two older children were able to enjoy two new little brothers and a little sister.
