A man from the US has set a Guinness world record for his extremely diverse collection of fossil feces.
A piece of fossilized dung
Previously, there were many collections of teddy bears, musical instruments and silver jewelry that reached Guinness records. These are quite common, but collecting fossil dung is certainly unique.
Specifically, George Frandsen, 36 years old from Florida (USA) accidentally saw a piece of fossilized feces in a store in Utah when he was a freshman, and has since started saving samples from 15 states in the US. and 8 other countries around the world. In total, the collection contains 1,277 fossilized dung pellets.
The largest of which weighed 2kg, called “Precious”. These faecal samples are of great value in the study of ancient animals. Notably, some samples showed signs that the animal tried to eat and vomited shortly afterwards.

Mainly this fossil dung from the Miocene period, about 23.8 to 5.3 million years ago, produced quite a lot of reptiles and crocodiles for the South Carolina region. His poop collection is currently on display at the South Florida Museum. All 1,277 samples were accurately dated before awarding the record to Frandsen.
Frandsend said the faeces were all the same, hard and stone-like, of course, without any smell, but warned those who wanted to “imitate” him need to be enthusiastic.
“If you want to do something, you need enthusiasm first,” said Frandsen. speak.
