Each birth for Monet is different, and each one she has attended is a special experience for her.
In a recent post, she shared photos of a newborn weighing almost five kilograms. In her post, the photographer wrote:
“When you’re about to give birth to a nearly five-kilogram baby, standing in the hospital.
Childbirth remains one of my favorite subjects to photograph. It showcases what our bodies are capable of.
This was a birth that would normally take place at home. We went to one of the local hospitals in Denver that provides excellent support for all home births in the area. Being able to give birth in a hospital that respects your choices can make a difference if the need for a transfer arises.
What else is there to say?
Mom gave birth standing up and had the assistance of an excellent team of midwives.
The baby was born inside the amniotic sac.
Their weight was almost 5 kg!
