When the girl with the cleft palate’s love image went viral, she captivated the hearts of many lovers. Courtney and Gavin Gardner, who are from Texas, met Setton, their new girlfriend, in Sydney and waited for Shannow Morto, a photographer, to take her latest portrait.

Courtney, 35, told DailyMail.co, “We didn’t take a pregnancy or new photo with our kid and definitely regret not doing it.  I was aware right away that I had a different pregnancy experience when we became pregnant with Lightning.”. During the photo shoot, Morto posted a stunning image of herself sleeping on her company’s Facebook page while wearing a folded scarf and a flower on her head.

Since photographer Shao Morto posted the endearing image on her Facebook page earlier this month, images of 9-year-old Lightning Gardier have been the talk of the internet.

Courtney and Gardner told DailyMail.co that they had “reconciled with each other” before responding favorably to the picture of their daughter.

At their 20-week ultrasound, the Gardners, who also have a three-year-old son named Asher, learned that their daughter had a right-sided bilateral cleft lip and palate.

Courtney initially worried about how people would respond to her daughter’s images, knowing how cruel people can be, but they only received love and support from their friends and family.

She recalled, “They were all just extremely kind, innocent messages just saying how beautiful she was. Some people began posting about how they had friends or family members who had children with cleft palates.”.

Since Sice Morto’s post was published on January 26, it has got more than 728,000 likes and nearly 7,000 comments.

The Gardners did not expect that their daughter’s photo would become popular online, but they were surprisednby the positive responses.

According to the Centers for Dιꜱеаꜱе Control and Prevention, a cleft lip and cleft palate are openings or splits in the upper lip and the roof of the mouth that occur during pregnancy.

Baby Sutton spent 18 days in the NICU at Texas Children’s Hospital where her parents entertained her with music because of her cleft palate, which initially made bottle feeding difficult.

“She is just strong-willed and a little bit stubborn,”, according to Courtney. “Yet it’s clear that the baby will grow up to be very sociable. She simply enjoys being held. She adores all forms of attention.”.

Courtney prayed the night before their appointment that their daughter’s heart would be in good condition because they were concerned about her having other health issues. She remembered exhaling in relief when they were informed that her heartbeat appeared normal.

She added that “the last thing they did was the ultrasound of her face, and that’s when the ultrasound technician basically stated, “Well, she does have a cleft lip.” “I recall feeling really blindsided and shocked by that because it hadn’t even crossed my mind as something that would happen.”.

Our little angel is doing great and according to her mom, the baby will grow up to be very sociable. She simply enjoys being held. She adores all forms of attention.
