China has a trend of elderly people making their own musical instruments and many world records have been set.
A man named Luong Gia Luu, 67 years old from Guangzhou city is making many people excited because of his flute playing ability. The special thing that makes Mr. Luong stand out from other artists is the super “terrible” flute.
The 1.3m-long flute from a bamboo trunk is considered the largest in the world at the moment. Mr. Luong often goes to Bach Van park near his house every day and performs for a large number of people to enjoy.
The Chinese newspaper said that Mr. Luong should meet the artist Ky Gia Vinh in Jiangsu province. Mr. Ky was recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the owner of the world’s largest erhu, nearly 5 meters long.
The erhu is 5m high.
Making traditional musical instruments is a hobby that is very popular with the elderly in China. Last July, a 65-year-old man in Guizhou province surprised netizens with a collection of 1,200 musical instruments made from… trash.
